Because of their desire to help others and encourage the spirit of giving in the community, the Community Giving Foundation: Danville Board began this fund in 2007 through their own individual donations. Neighbors Helping Neighbors is Danville's opportunity to meet current needs of the community forever.

The Amacher Family Fund provides scholarships for graduates from Danville High School who are pursuing a 2- or 4-year program or degree in agriculture or related field and have demonstrated leadership qualities, participated in agricultural programs, and demonstrates financial need.
Beverly J. Laubach established a donor-advised fund in memory of Charles A. Laubach, Jr., M.D. The Fund provides support for charitable purposes in the area of Danville, PA and surrounding communities.
The Bloch-Selinger Educational Fund awards at least 1 deserving young man honor student and 1 deserving young woman honor student a scholarship for up to 4 years. The students must be graduates of Danville High School and plan to attend any credited school or university located in the USA.

Eleanor McWilliams Burke was a lifelong resident of Danville, Pennsylvania. She served the community as a food dietitian and service manager at the Danville State Hospital for thirty years. The Eleanor M. Burke Fund was established to benefit charitable purposes in the greater Montour County area.
Leo E. Ennis had a heart for encouraging children of any age, and was known for his warm smile and friendly nature. Established by Gary and Conaley Visneski, in memory of her dad, the Ennis-Visneski Fund will provide grants to support the Foundation's Youth in Philanthropy program in the Danville Area School District.

The Cole Family Fund provides support for needy, underprivileged youth in the area of Danville, PA with preference for the Boy Scouts of America Troops in Danville.
In order to encourage reading and intellectual and community engagement, the Thomas Beaver Free Library provides library services and resources to the residents of Montour County as well as to Rush and Riverside Townships. Scholarship Funds
The Ackerman Family Scholarship Fund was established to benefit graduating students from the Danville Area School District. Applicants must be accepted and attending an accredited 4-year college full-time, have had the highest accumulative 4-year average in English, and have been a varsity wrestler or varsity football player.
The Beverly J. Laubach Scholarship Fund, created in memory of Betty L. Dietz, provides an annual scholarship to a Danville Area High School graduating senior pursuing a degree in education. Consideration is given to students who demonstrate financial need, desire to become a teacher, potential to succeed, and strong work ethic. A new student is chosen annually for this one-year award.
The Carl J. Marrara Memorial Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to graduating Danville Area High School students who are accepted into a full-time undergraduate program at an accredited institution of higher education (preferable in PA), have exhibited good citizenship and community involvement, been a leader with a sense of humor, is grounded, shows tolerance of others, is honest, has integrity and makes a difference in the school community. Students will also have an unmet financial need.
The Cole Family Scholarship Fund benefits graduating seniors from Danville Area School District who will attend, full-time, an accredited two- or four-year institution of higher education, has civic-minded interests and demonstrates financial need.
The Cotner Family Scholarship Fund, established in memory of Donald G. Cotner, Sr., provides scholarships to graduating students from the Danville Area School District. Selected by the DASD Scholarship Committee, students should be accepted and planning to attend an accredited 2 or 4 year college, full time, pursuing studies in agriculture and/or agricultural related fields, and exhibit good citizenship, be a leader, is honest, and has integrity.
This Alumni Association Scholarship Fund awards scholarships for Danville Area School District graduates entering accredited 2-year trade, technical associate degree programs or 4-year accredited PA college or university degree programs. Recipients must demonstrate financial need and scholastic ability, have at least a B or C average, work diligently to master academic courses, earn the respect of teachers and fellow students, possess unquestionable integrity, and consistently display compassion and kindness to others. The students must also demonstrate through job or volunteer history the ability to succeed, be self-motivated and have strong ethics.

Danville Rotary Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to graduating students from the Danville Area School District who will attend an accredited 2- or 4-year college, full-time. Recipients should also exhibit good citizenship, be honest, have integrity, and be a volunteer with the community and/or charity, demonstrating the Rotary's motto "Service Above Self".
Mr. David Price's years in public education were characterized by his focus on strong academics for all students, belief in vocational training, support of special needs students, and commitment to quality extracurricular experiences for students. He served the Danville community for many years as a high school principal and later as interim superintendent. After Mr. Price's passing, family and friends came together to establish the David L. Price Scholarship Fund to forever honor his legacy and passions in the Danville community.
The Deutsch Family Memorial Scholarship Fund is a two-fold award that supports education in the Danville, Pennsylvania area. Grants are provided to Geisinger Medical Center to assist worthy student nurses with their tuition and other training expenses through the Geisinger Medical Center Nurses Training School. Scholarships are also awarded to worthy graduates of the Danville Area High School who are seeking higher education. Recipients will be excellent in their academic studies and proficient in athletics.
The Donald J. Seebold Scholarship Fund was created for graduating seniors from Danville Area High School seeking higher education, with preference given to those in Economics or Business Administration degree programs. Candidates should display an academic ability to successfully complete a higher education program, good citizenship characteristics, and successful involvement in school related and extra-curricular activities and community involvement. The financial need of the student will be considered.
The Eister Janssen Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for graduates from Danville Area High School pursuing a degree in engineering. Students have demonstrated leadership qualities, participated in community service programs, and demonstrated financial need.
The Gerald J. Levandoski Memorial Scholarship Fund benefits graduating seniors from Danville Area High School accepted into a full-time undergraduate program at an institution of higher education, pursuing an education in engineering (preferably) or science. Students will have exhibited potential for success, good citizenship, and community involvement.

The Jack and Gladys Magill Family Scholarship Fund will provide scholarships to Danville Area High School graduating seniors pursuing post-secondary education in nursing. Primary consideration will be given to students who are active in community service, lend a helpful hand to people, and demonstrate a passion for enjoying life.

The Jack Curry Athletic Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to Danville High School graduates pursuing a 2- or 4-year program/degree, who have participated in high school athletics and demonstrated sportsmanship and leadership. Preference is given to a multi-sport athlete.
The Jane Hood Memorial Scholarship Fund awards Danville Area School District graduating seniors one scholarship to a recipient majoring in math or science and one scholarship to a recipient majoring in graphic/visual arts. Students should be accepted into a full-time undergraduate program, exhibit good citizenship and community involvement, and show a strong potential for success.
The Jason Gordon Memorial Scholarship Fund was created in memory of Danville student Jason. An encourager to all, Jason loved to make people laugh with his imitations, quick wit and crazy jokes. He was very creative and had a compassionate heart and kind spirit. This annual scholarship award will benefit a Danville graduating senior who demonstrates kindness, teamwork, and encouragement to others.
The Joan and Fred Miller Family Scholarship Fund will provide scholarships to Danville Area High School graduating seniors pursing post-secondary education to obtain a certification or degree. Primary consideration will be given to students in the top 50% of their class who are involved in extracurricular activities and volunteer in the community.
The Joanne McCall Spaid Simington and Paul Simington Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to Mifflinburg High School graduates pursuing degrees in accredited 2- or 4-year college, university or technical school programs. Candidates reside within the present boundaries of the Mifflinburg School District for a minimum of 3 years immediately prior to graduation. Special consideration for students pursuing degrees in agriculture and/or forestry but not including landscaping or landscape architecture, and/or education majors.

The Kyle "Bucky" Kizis Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Kyle, a Danville High School junior who passed away in March 2020. Kyle was a source of laughter for everyone that knew and loved him. He was a competitive and fun-loving member of the Ironmen baseball and bowling teams, and will be remembered for his charming personality and how easily he could make people smile. This fund will award a scholarship to a Danville Area High School graduating senior.
This future scholarship fund will support Danville Area School District students.
The Mackenzie E. Riley Memorial Scholarship Fund provides annual scholarships for graduates of Danville High School and/or Shikellamy High School who have participated in athletics and will be attending a 2- or 4-year institution of higher education. Special consideration is given to students who are all-around loyal team leaders with natural athletic intuition, who conduct themselves in a selfless manner while displaying a confident, positive, respectful and encouraging demeanor. Applicants should be smart and creative individuals who put the team's success above his/her own and can be deemed a versatile player not defined by one position or role on a team.
The Mollie Harter Memorial Fund awards scholarships to graduating students from Danville Area High School pursuing a BS or BA in the fields of education (preferably secondary education) or alternatively other careers working with children at a qualified institution of higher education. Students' experiences with community service and volunteering as well as their interest in working with children and potential to succeed in pursuing their goals may be considered.
The Rechsteiner Family Scholarship Fund benefits Danville Area High School graduates accepted into a full-time undergraduate program at an institution of higher education. Recipients will be one male and one female, and will have exhibited good citizenship and community involvement. One scholarship will be awarded to an education major and one scholarship will be awarded to a science major. Each scholarship will be awarded for 4 years as long as the student continues studying education or science.
Because Robert and Betty Gatski’s work in the healthcare field, specifically in Danville, was so important to them, their children wanted to honor their lifelong work while supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals. This scholarship fund was created to support a Danville High School senior pursuing a degree in and showing a passion for a healthcare-related field. The family hopes that students who would not have otherwise been able to do so will pursue careers in medicine.

Sandra O'Rourke was a legendary philanthropist and organizer in Montour County dedicated to helping people and improving the lives of those in her community. This scholarship fund was established in memory of Sandra and her work, and will support a Danville Area High School graduating senior pursuing post-secondary education. Special consideration will be given to students who focus on service/outreach and demonstrate compassion and altruism towards others.
The Stanley B. Gum Memorial Trucking Scholarship Fund was created by the Gum family to honor the legacy of patriarch Stanley Gum, who proudly worked 40 years as a truck driver to provide for his family. The scholarship award will benefit Montour County residents attending/graduating from Danville High School or Columbia-Montour Vo-Tech pursuing a career as a truck driver at an accredited/licensed Commercial Driver's License (CDL) training program. Consideration will be given to students who carry on a tradition of being a hard-working and responsible individual.

The Simington Family Scholarship Fund awards a scholarship to Danville Area School District graduate(s) pursuing higher education in a 2- or 4-year accredited college, university, or trade school. Recipients have demonstrated themselves to be civic and community minded, possess a genuine sincerity to obtain a post-high school degree, and have a financial need.
The Valeria Walton Woods Memorial Scholarship Fund benefits one or more graduating seniors of Danville Area High School to assist in attending college. Recipients should be deserving students in need of financial assistance and maintain good grades in college.
Donate to the Valerie Walton Woods Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Victor and Linda Marks Health Career Scholarship Fund will support Danville Area High School graduating seniors pursuing an undergraduate degree in the field of nursing or medicine. Career focus includes pre-medicine, pre-dentistry, or pre-veterinary programs. Special consideration will be given to students with financial need and who have demonstrated service to the community.
Donate to the Victor and Linda Marks Health Career Scholarship Fund
The Walter A. "Whitey" and Nan C. McCloskey Memorial Scholarship Fund is awarded to graduating seniors from Danville Area High School who attained a letter in basketball (preferred), football, or baseball. Students should be accepted into a full-time undergraduate program at an accredited institution of higher education, preferably in PA, and be a good school and community citizen.
