Foundation Welcomes New Marketing Assistant

Community Giving Foundation is excited to welcome Danny Hess to the Foundation team as Marketing Assistant.

In his new role, Hess will work closely with the Director of Communications to execute Foundation events and support marketing initiatives that advance Foundation goals. His position will include coordinating event planning and logistics to engage community partners, donors, and stakeholders, and developing compelling digital communications through social media and other channels.

“Our Foundation continues to experience tremendous growth across our region, creating even more opportunities for community engagement through events and marketing initiatives. We are thrilled to bring Danny onto our team, strengthening our ability to connect with donors, grantees, and the broader community as we enhance our Foundation’s impact,” shares Katie Simpson, Director of Communications.

Hess’s background in nonprofit marketing and community engagement have set him up well for this role at the Foundation. As a former summer camp counselor at Camp Mantowagan and a volunteer volleyball coach, helping others has always been a priority for him. Hess has spent the last year working in nonprofit marketing at Dwell Orphan Care and Saint John’s School of the Arts, where he also serves as a board member. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and staying active by playing pickleball, volleyball, and dancing.

“Helping others and improving the community have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve witnessed firsthand the positive impact nonprofits can have on individuals and communities. I’m excited to join the Community Giving Foundation and can’t wait to start making a difference,” writes Hess.

Hess joins the following Foundation staff: Kara G. Seesholtz, President and CEO; Kim Groshek, Administrative Assistant; Karri Harter, Grant and Scholarship Administrator; Al Meale, Chief Financial Officer; Alyssa Meyers-Sanonu, Director of Philanthropy; Katie Simpson, Director of Communications; and Becky Stugart, Impact Coordinator.

The Community Giving Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that develops, manages, and distributes funds for charitable purposes in communities across the Central Susquehanna region.
