Ensuring the future of our community
Community Giving Foundation: Selinsgrove aims to enrich the quality of life in the Selinsgrove area and surrounding communities through superior stewardship of enduring charitable gifts. After affiliating with the Community Giving Foundation in 2006, Selinsgrove has continued to assist and encourage donors of all levels to achieve their diverse philanthropic interests while providing a legacy that will serve local communities for present and future generations.
A Story of Local Giving
A native of Selinsgrove, Dick Wetzel never moved more than several blocks from his childhood home, and his wife, Anna Mary, moved to Selinsgrove when she was ten. The couple married in 1951, lived on the same street where Anna Mary grew up, and now after Dick’s passing, their family legacy continues to live on through the Richard and Anna Mary Wetzel Unrestricted Fund.
“My parents wanted to help others, both while they were alive and in the future. There’s no better place to give to than to the community where they lived all their lives. It means so much to our family that my parents have left a forever legacy to Selinsgrove.” (Ann Aurand, Daughter of Dick and Anna Mary Wetzel)

Your support of Community Giving Foundation: Selinsgrove makes an impact on the lives of people in your community. This story is just one example of the power of giving happening now because of the generosity of our donors.

Selinsgrove's History
In 1994, members of the Selinsgrove Rotary Club joined together to begin the Selinsgrove Area Youth Foundation, which focused on providing scholarships to graduating seniors at Selinsgrove High School. Years later, the group expanded its mission to support the local community through its philanthropic efforts, meeting the area's social, educational, recreational and charitable needs. Selinsgrove affiliated with the Community Giving Foundation in 2006 for administrative support for its grant and scholarship investments.
"Community Giving Foundation: Selinsgrove offers local people a way to leave a legacy. It's especially gratifying to be part of something doing so much good for the community." (Michael Flock, Legacy Society Member and Former Board Member)
Grants Awarded
