Active Grantmaking Through The Women’s Giving Circle

25 Stories for 25 Years

Grantmaking through the Women's Giving Circle is a unique and engaging process that relies on the role of members throughout the region. Annually, members nominate eligible nonprofits to apply through a competitive grant application. A special grant review committee, made up of a new group of members each year, reviews the applications to select four finalists. These organizations present passionate requests to the membership at the Women's Giving Circle annual meeting, where members cast their vote to award two $10,000 grants. Each grant is awarded to align with the group's mission of empowering, connecting, and inspiring women and girls across the region.

"Being able to present local nonprofits with our generous grants is such an amazing emotional experience. We are able to make a huge impact on women and girls right here in our communities through these organizations. It is truly a blessing to be able to share the love for what they do and support them in this way." (Missy Shipton, Women's Giving Circle Grant Committee Member)

"This grant from the Women's Giving Circle empowers us to make a profound difference in the lives of vulnerable children in foster care, ensuring they feel loved and cared for during a difficult and complex transition. We are so gratful for the care, compassion, and partnership of the Women's Giving Circle as we seek to empower and equip children from hard places and the families that love them!"
