The Women’s Giving Circle of the Community Giving Foundation is excited to welcome four new members to its Steering Committee in 2025. The group joins seven others in the oversight of Women’s Giving Circle grantmaking, membership, and community initiatives.
Albra Heineman
Albra Heineman is a communication consultant and workshop facilitator. She received a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Bloomsburg University. Heineman regularly presents both workshops and original scholarship to a variety of academic and public audiences, emphasizing audience involvement to facilitate dialogue around issues of local, national, and global significance.
“As someone who already works with local schools, organizations, and community members, I look forward to making new connections and working collaboratively with the Women’s Giving Circle to improve the lives of women and girls in the region.”
Cynthia Schroll
After teaching Spanish and English at both the high school and adult levels for over 25 years, Cynthia Schroll is now enjoying the opportunity to pursue personal interests and volunteer work in the community. She is an active member of the women’s philanthropic organization, P.E.O. Chapter BK in Bloomsburg, and the Fishing Creek Herb Guild. She completed the PA Master Naturalist program in 2021, and participates annually in several local environmental education programs, along with fulfilling volunteer hours on a variety of environmental conservation projects. Schroll is also a certified facilitator of Journey-Dance, a transformative movement practice. She does her best to stay physically active by hiking, running, and gardening, along with maintaining a regular yoga practice.
“I am grateful to have this opportunity to partner with the Foundation because I want to continue to be an active, informed, involved member of this community. I look forward to being able to share my skills and energy with other like-minded people and to learn from them, and I also look forward to being part of a positive force for change.”
Missy Shipton
Missy Shipton is a collections manager with Service 1st Federal Credit Union. She is a 1997 graduate of Warrior Run High School, and lives in the area with her high school sweetheart, Paul. They have one son. Shipton loves ice hockey and spends many weekends in Hershey cheering on the Bears. She also loves to bake and share her sweet treats with others.
“Last year, I had the privilege of serving on the Women’s Giving Circle grant review committee. It was challenging and a blessing all in one. I’ve seen firsthand how our grants can change lives. I am hoping by sharing my time and talents with the Foundation, I can make a difference in our community.”
Bonnie Brady Trump
Bonnie Brady Trump is a 5th generation Danville native with a commitment to family and community. She has worked as an associate real estate broker with Villager Realty for 43 years. With a lifetime of serving on many local committees and boards. Trump recently transitioned off the Community Giving Foundation: Danville board after nine years of service. She is married to her husband, Jim, and has four grown children and five grandchildren.
“I am excited to continue partnering with the Foundation and Women’s Giving Circle because doing something good together makes belonging better and the doing larger. We can make a difference for women and children in our area because we care. Community giving is the rent and gratitude we pay forward for the blessings and opportunities we’ve been given in our lives.”
