Selinsgrove Awards 2023 Scholarships

Community Giving Foundation: Selinsgrove is pleased to announce scholarship awards for local students. These opportunities are available thanks to the many individuals, families and organizations who have established scholarship funds with the Foundation. Applications for a variety of interests, accomplishments, and career choices were accepted from students at the Selinsgrove and Midd-West school districts. The funds listed below awarded over $39,000 in scholarships to 25 students.

The following students received scholarship awards:

  • Celebrate the Life of the Patients of the Cancer Care of Central PA Fund: Alayna Davis ($500)
  • John A. Bolig Seals Alumni Scholarship Fund: McKenna Parker ($2,000)
  • Kreamer Feed Scholarship Fund: Sydney Yerg ($200 for four years), and $600 to three previous graduates
  • Lois C. Miller Scholarship Fund: Hannah Reichenbach ($400)
  • Madelyn L. Whitmer Education Scholarship Fund: Areli Aguilar ($1,000)
  • Patricia H. and Richard E. Garman Scholarship Fund: Andrew Gephart ($1,000 for four years); Mackenzie Heddings ($1,000 for four years); McKenna Parker ($1,000 for four years); Sydney Schmouder ($1,000 for four years); Zackary Smith ($1,000 for four years); Lilyanna Strocko ($800)
  • Selinsgrove Rotary/Community Giving Foundation: Selinsgrove Scholarships: Alayna Davis ($1,000 for four years); Makayla Masters ($1,000 for four years); Carolyn Proger ($1,000 for four years); Lilyanna Strocko ($1,000 for four years); and $8,000 to eight previous graduates
  • Simon B. and Kathryn J. Rhoads Family Scholarship Fund: Zoe Tomko ($600)
  • Wayne and Nancy Van Kirk Scholarship Fund: McKenna Parker ($1,500)
