Danville Awards 2021 Scholarships

The Community Giving Foundation: Danville is pleased to announce scholarship awards for local students. These opportunities are available thanks to the many individuals, families and organizations who have established 36 scholarship funds with the Foundation. Applications for a variety of interests, accomplishments, and career choices were accepted from students at the school district. These funds awarded over $124,000 in scholarships to more than 71 graduating seniors.

The following students received scholarship awards:

  • Ackerman Family Scholarship Fund: Andrew Johnson ($2,000); Christopher Outt ($2,000); Kayden Riley ($2,000)
  • Amacher Family Fund in Memory of Mary L. Schick Frye: Kate Woodruff ($2,240)
  • Beverly J. Laubach Scholarship Fund in Memory of Betty L. Dietz: Kyle Burns ($600)
  • Bloch-Selinger Educational Fund: Darsil Patel ($2,875, multi-year award); Joy Zhang ($2,875, multi-year award); and $2,875 to six previous graduates
  • Carl J. Marrara Memorial Scholarship Fund: Taylor Hass ($1,000)
  • Cole Family Scholarship Fund: Alexandra Gresh ($3,600); Douglas Houser ($3,600)
  • Cotner Family Scholarship Fund: Blake Nail ($2,600)
  • Danville Area School District Band Boosters Scholarship Fund: Owen Smith ($550); Annalise Yeich ($550)
  • Danville Area SD Alumni Association Scholarship Fund: Madeline Hand ($800); Etin Tabrey ($800)
  • Danville Education Association Scholarship Fund “DEA”: Briannan Eckard ($700)
  • Danville High School Class of 1939 Scholarship Fund: Joanna Esenwein ($1,460); Madison Herriman ($1,460); Nathan Krushensky ($1,460); Julie Minnicks ($1,460); Jamie Pandolfo ($1,460)
  • Danville High School Class of 1943 Scholarship Fund: Tasanju Karmo ($500)
  • Danville High School Class of 1963 Scholarship Fund: Kayla Wagner ($700)
  • Danville Rotary Scholarship Fund: Olivia Outt ($500)

  • Deutsch Family Memorial Scholarship Fund: Grace Petrick ($2,200)

  • Eister Janssen Scholarship Fund: Jordan Brookhart ($1,300)
  • Gerald J. Levandoski Memorial Scholarship Fund: Grace Keebler ($1,400)
