Scholarship applications for the 2026/27 academic year will open on March 1, 2026 and close on April 1, 2026. The Foundation's universal online application is a single streamlined form that matches your responses to the scholarship opportunities for which you qualify.

Community Giving Foundation is honored to partner with over 135 scholarship funds across our region to provide impactful opportunities to local students. In 2025, the Foundation distributed over $520,000 to nearly 300 high school seniors and current undergraduate students.

Berwick Health & Wellness Fund - Health Profession Scholarship*. To be eligible, student must reside in the Berwick Health & Wellness Fund service area and be a graduating senior at one of the following high schools: Berwick, Benton, Central Columbia, Columbia-Montour Vo-Tech, Northwest, or West Side Vo-Tech. Current undergraduate and non-traditional students pursuing a health profession are also encouraged to apply. The student must be accepted into a two- or four-year college pursuing a health profession or a one- or two-year certification program. The term "health profession" is broadly defined to encompass the many and varied health-related careers, ranging from vocational nursing and dental assistant to health education to dentistry and medicine. Scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to apply each year during their undergraduate studies for an annual award if scholarship criteria continue to be met. Graduating high school seniors, current undergraduate and non-traditional students are eligible to apply for a one-year award.

Dr. Marilyn Witherup Medical Scholarship Fund*. Provides support to Columbia County students pursuing a career in the medical profession, including but not limited to those pursuing MD, DO, RN, LPN, or other technical training.

E. Louise Simington RN Nursing Scholarship Fund*. To provide funds for high school graduate(s) who have resided in the Columbia and Montour County School Districts and are pursuing higher education in the field of nursing. Traditional and non-traditional student applicants will be considered.

Ernest Harold Bogert Science Scholarship Fund. Provide an annual scholarship(a) to Benton Area School District graduating senior(s) pursuing post-secondary education. Special consideration will be given to students pursuing a career in engineering. Could also benefit a student furthering their education in an area of science.

Holy Family School Alumni Scholarship Fund*. Provide a one-time scholarship to graduating high school seniors (graduation year 2021-2033) who attended Holy Family School (Berwick, PA) for a minimum of one full year between the 2007-2020 school years. Students must be pursuing post-secondary education for a certification program, associate, or undergraduate degree.

Kevin and Ivette Tanribilir Scholarship Fund*. Provide an annual scholarship to a graduating senior from Benton, Berwick, Central Columbia, or Northwest Area High School who is pursuing an education in the legal field to become a legal professional or pursuing an education as a health care professional.

Joan M. Miller/Dancing Hen Farm Scholarship Fund*. To support students across the Foundation's service area who are pursuing a major in an agriculture-related field.

Joshua Martz Scholarship Fund. Available to high school students declaring a major in special education and has maintained a minimum GPA in their studies for the year following their declaration of the major.

Melba Hyde Scholarship Fund. Provide an annual scholarship to a graduating senior from Benton High School who is attending a post-secondary school. Consideration given to students demonstrating financial need.

Orlando C. Scopelliti Scholarship Fund*. Available for high school graduates from any school district within the Foundation's service area (Columbia, Lower-Luzerne, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, and Union Counties) entering degree programs for the care and/or education of the mentally and physically challenged. Students are eligible to apply upon acceptance to a qualified program for a bachelor's, associate, or technical degree. This is a one-year award.

Six County Fireman’s Association Mark Coons Memorial Scholarship Fund*. Provide secondary and post-secondary scholarships to any individual who is an active member or child of an active or deceased member of a fire department. The member must be in good standing of a state, county, municipal, community, industrial or federal fire department and have demonstrated proficiency as a member in good standing. Eligibility includes traditional and non-traditional students, 16 years of age or older, pursuing a certification, trade, associate, or undergraduate degree. Preference will be given to a student pursuing their education in an emergency services field. Applicants must reside within Columbia, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Montour, Northumberland, or Schuylkill County.

Stanley B. Gum Memorial Trucking Scholarship Fund*. Provides awards to Columbia and Montour County residents, including non-traditional students, who are pursuing a career as a truck driver at an accredited/licensed Commercial Driver's License (CDL) training program.

Valaquenta Foster Scholarship Fund*. Benefits students from across the region, with preference to first-generation college-bound students and those who have overcome personal, academic, or systemic hardships.

Walter and Florence Vorbleski Scholarship Fund*. Offered for graduating high school seniors and/or past recipients, residing in the Berwick Health & Wellness Fund service area, enrolling in a two- or four-year college majoring in one of the following areas: pre-med, nursing, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or surgical technician. This is a one-year award.

Walter M. Brasch Scholarship Fund*. Provide scholarship to a graduating senior residing in Columbia County, who is pursuing post-secondary education at an accredited Pennsylvania school majoring in Journalism. Special consideration given to students who have demonstrated potential to succeed in chosen field.

Berwick Area School District Trust. 12th Man Football Scholarship; Bart Rado Senior Memorial Award; Class of 1950 Scholarship Fund; David L. Force Business Education Scholarship; E. Saracino Football Scholarship; Frank Souchak Award; Individual Achievement Award; Marie Rudy Music Award; Dr. Ralph J. and RJ Norce Strive Scholarship; Russell Zimmerman Scholarship Fund; Ruth Peck Matzko, RN & Michael J. Matzko, MD Scholarship; Susquehanna Arts and Crafts Scholarship; Tuzzi Health/Financial Need Scholarship; Vorbleski Scholarship Fund; Wrestling—Mat Backers Tom Carroll Memorial Scholarship.

Catholic War Veterans Post 1419 Association Scholarship Fund*. Provide an annual scholarship to a graduating senior from Berwick Area High School attending a 2- or 4-year post-secondary school. Special consideration given to a student who is Catholic, an honor student or GPA average of 90 or above, and demonstrates financial need. Two scholarships awarded annually—one male and one female.

Coach Michael C. Scala Scholarship Award*. Provide a scholarship to a Berwick Area High School graduating senior who has demonstrated leadership and athletic skills as well as a genuine interest in a health/medical-related field. This is a one-year award.

Dale A. and Ferne S. Krothe Veterans Scholarship*. Provide an annual scholarship to a graduating senior from Berwick Area High School who is attending a post-secondary school. Special consideration will be given to a student who is a child of: a deceased veteran with no living parents; a deceased veteran with one living parent; a fully disabled veteran as certified by VA; or a veteran with a lesser degree of disability as certified by VA. In addition, consideration will also be given to a child of any veteran or a child related to a veteran other than mother or father.

Don Ruggerio Athletic Scholarship Fund*. Provide funds for a male or female Berwick High School senior athlete to pursue a two- or four-year education in the health field, including veterinary science, at any accredited school in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Mark C. Pyles Scholarship Fund*. Provide an annual scholarship to a graduating senior from Berwick Area High School pursuing a certification, associate, or undergraduate degree in a health-related or medical field. Fields of study may include, but are not limited to, nursing, medicine, therapy, or counseling. Special consideration given to students who have maintained at least an overall B average and have demonstrated an interest in the community through volunteerism, extracurricular activities, church, or work. A new student will be chosen annually to receive this one-year award.

Dwayne Tressler Athletic Memorial Scholarship Fund*. Provide a scholarship to a graduating senior(s) who is attending a post-secondary school and has participated in athletics. Special consideration will be given to an athlete that has participated in baseball and demonstrated team leadership while maintaining at least a 90% grade average. This is a one-year award.

Fred A. Takacs Scholarship Fund*. Provide a scholarship for a high school graduate(s) who has resided in the Berwick School District and is pursuing higher education at Penn State Hazelton Campus. Secondary consideration for students at any Penn State University Campus. Traditional and non-traditional student applications will be considered.

Galanti Berwick Scholarship for Innovation. Provide a scholarship to Berwick Area School District graduating seniors who embody innovative thinking and the ambition to lead with creativity and purpose in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Math. Preference may be given to students who excel in the STEM Capstone Program at Berwick Area High School. Students meeting this criteria will be selected by the committee based on recommendations from the STEM Capstone Program Advisors. This award will be given to students who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to pushing boundaries, solving problems, and making a lasting impact locally and globally and ensures that Berwick remains a catalyst for progress, celebrating those who dare to dream beyond the ordinary.

George and Barbara Forese Family Scholarship Fund*. Provide an annual scholarship to a graduating senior from Berwick, Central Columbia, Bloomsburg, or Danville High School who is attending a post-secondary Pennsylvania accredited school to pursue a degree in business, communications or psychology. Special consideration will be given to students who have participated in at least one varsity sport for two years, have an overall GPA of 3.5, and volunteered in the community.

George E. Skomsky Athletic Scholarship Fund*. Provide a scholarship to a graduating senior from Berwick Area High School who is attending a post-secondary school. Consideration given to male athletes who demonstrate financial need and who have participated in golf or basketball.

In Honor of the Berwick High School Class of 1959 - Sponsored by Terry Riegel*. Provide one annual scholarship to a Berwick High School graduating senior. Consideration will be given to overall good students who are pursuing secondary education to obtain a bachelor's degree. Preference will be given to students active in school clubs, organizations, and their community, and who have demonstrated leadership and school pride.

Joan M. Miller/Dancing Hen Farm Scholarship Fund*. To support students across the Foundation's service area who are pursuing a major in an agriculture-related field.

Justin "Pete" Slusser Scholarship Fund*. Provide an annual scholarship to a graduating senior from Berwick Area High School who is attending any Pennsylvania State University campus. Special consideration will be given to students pursuing a career in engineering. Extracurricular activities will also be considered.

Kyle Douthat Memorial Scholarship Fund*. Provide an annual scholarship to a Berwick High School or Columbia-Montour Area Vo-Tech School graduating senior(s) who is attending a post-secondary trade school. Preference given to a student pursuing a career as a diesel mechanic or attending the Universal Technical Institute.

Luis A. Ramos Fund*. Provide scholarship for a Berwick Area or Northwest Area High School senior. Special consideration is given to students who have participated in a soccer program, students of Hispanic heritage, and/or students who have demonstrated a strong commitment to community. This is a one-year award.

Patrick J. Mattucci Memorial Scholarship Fund*. Provide a scholarship to a Berwick High School graduating senior(s) who is an honor student with a 95% or higher overall GPA and is attending a four-year college. Special consideration is given to students who have demonstrated an interest in their community through involvement/volunteerism and participated in extracurricular activities. Preference is given to students who selflessly give of their time to help others and has a high potential for success in selected career path. Applications must include a 1-2 page biographical essay describing the student's plan for college, major field of study, future profession and their involvement with school, church, community activities, volunteerism, and work history.

Ronald L. Garrison Memorial Scholarship Fund*. Provide a scholarship to a Berwick High School graduating senior(s) who is attending a post-secondary Pennsylvania accredited school to pursue a degree in education. Special consideration will be given to students who have participated in golf.

Robert H. Nash Memorial Scholarship Fund*. Provide a scholarship to a Berwick High School graduating senior(s) who is attending a post-secondary school to pursue a degree in English Literature or writing, journalism, print or electronic, or a career in the performing arts, acting, stage or screen. Special consideration given to students who have participated in the performing arts.

Robert J. Wise Scholarship Fund*. Berwick High School seniors pursuing a bachelor's, associate or technical degree are eligible to apply. Preference is given to students who have achieved a level of academic performance commensurate with their ability, have been involved in extracurricular activities or involved in organizations in the community, exhibits overall qualities of good citizenship, and have demonstrated financial need. This is a one-year award.

Sharon "Cheri" Spohrer Memorial Scholarship Fund*. Provide a scholarship to graduating Berwick Area High School senior(s) who are attending post-secondary school to pursue a degree in nursing and have participated in extracurricular activities and community service. This is a one-year award.

Stanley B. Gum Memorial Trucking Scholarship Fund* Provides awards to Columbia and Montour County residents, including non-traditional students, who are pursuing a career as a truck driver at an accredited/licensed Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training program.

Steven Mark Nastelli Scholarship Fund*. Provide a scholarship to a Berwick Area High School graduating senior(s) who is a scholar athlete planning to attend post-secondary education at a two- or four-year institution. This is a one-year award.

The Beyond Cajun Thivierge Fund*. Provide a scholarship to Berwick Area High School graduating senior(s) who participated in drama, arts and humanities, or music activities and display a culture of kindness and selflessness to others with no expectation of reward. This is a one-year award.

The Mary Fund. Awards a scholarship to a Berwick High School senior in Mary Freyberger's memory. Students are attending a post-secondary school, and preference is given to a band or art student who needs encouragement to go out into the world and be who they want to be.

Valaquenta Foster Scholarship Fund* Benefits students from across the region, with preference to first-generation college-bound students and those who have overcome personal, academic, or systemic hardships.

BHS Class of '86 Scholarship Fund*. Provide annual scholarship(s) to Bloomsburg High School graduating senior(s) pursuing post-secondary education for a certification program, associate, or undergraduate degree, at a trade school or college. Student must have attended Bloomsburg High School for a minimum of two years and demonstrate kindness and loyalty to others, ability to get along with others, without prejudice, and genuine school spirit and Panther Pride. Consideration will be given to students whose work ethic and drive has been proven through work experience and participation in extracurricular activities in or out of school.

Bloomsburg Area School District Class of 1972 Scholarship Fund*. Provide annual scholarship(s) to Bloomsburg High School graduating senior(s) pursuing post-secondary education for a certification program, associate, or undergraduate degree, at a trade school or college. Preference given to student(s) with an 85 GPA or better. A one-year award or a multi-year award will be considered as the fund allows.

Bruce Becker, MD Memorial Scholarship Fund*. Supports Bloomsburg High School graduating seniors pursuing a career in medicine or healthcare. The fund honors the legacy of Dr. Bruce Becker, a devoted physician who served the Bloomsburg community for over two decades. Dr. Becker's love for learning, his passion for fitness, and his commitment to helping others defined his life.

Joan M. Miller/Dancing Hen Farm Scholarship Fund*. To support students across the Foundation's service area who are pursuing a major in an agriculture-related field.

Robert Baillie Memorial Scholarship. Provide a scholarship distributed over two years to a graduating senior at Bloomsburg High School. Preference given to student in the top 10% of their graduating class. Student must be participating in a 4-year program at an accredited college and demonstrate financial need. Students must maintain a B average over the course of their first year of college to be eligible for second disbursement.

Joan M. Miller/Dancing Hen Farm Scholarship Fund*. To support students across the Foundation's service area who are pursuing a major in an agriculture-related field.

Lynch Brothers Scholarship Fund. Provide one annual scholarship each to a Central Columbia graduating male and female who are recognized as the top social studies students in their class. Consideration will be given to students who have completed at least four social studies credits during their high school career and have followed a rigorous path in the social studies curriculum beyond the basic requirements. The average grade of all social studies courses, as reported on student transcripts, will be reviewed by the school's social studies department and guidance department to determine the top students.

David L. Price Scholarship Fund*. Provide scholarships to students residing in the Danville Area High School service area who are graduating from Danville Area High School or Columbia-Montour Vo-Tech. Consideration will be given to students furthering their education at a trade, 2-year or 4-year school. Student must demonstrate a good attitude, good citizenship, leadership qualities, and participate in school activities. Special consideration given to students with financial need.

Joan M. Miller/Dancing Hen Farm Scholarship Fund*. To support students across the Foundation's service area who are pursuing a major in an agriculture-related field.

Kirk R. Bower Scholarship Fund*. Provide a two-year scholarship(s) to a Columbia-Montour Area Vocational-Technical School (CMAVTS) graduating senior pursuing post-secondary education. Student(s) must be pursuing futher education aligning with the current career-technical program they are currently enrolled in at CMAVTS. Awarded student(s) must also exhibit the likelihood of settling within a 25-mile radius of the CMAVTS upon completion of their education, therefore providing training for jobs available in local businesses. This award seeks to encourage students to reside in the local area, work, build families, start businesses, etc. Future growth in population shall bolster economic activity as well as build opportunities for jobs and income.

Bloomsburg Greek Alumni Scholarship Fund*. This opportunity is available to full-time students enrolled at Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania: Bloomsburg who have earned at least 12 credits with a minimum 2.5 GPA and have demonstrated outstanding community service and leadership. Preference shall be given to students participating in a Greek organization or who are dependents of a Bloomsburg University Greek Alumni. Student applicants will be required to upload their resume showing Greek affiliation, community service, leadership roles, work experience, other extracurricular activities, and career-building experience. Financial need will also be considered.

Ackerman Family Scholarship Fund. Provide a scholarship for a student who will attend, full-time, an accredited four-year institution of higher education; a varsity wrestler and/or varsity football player and has the highest cumulative four-year average in English.

Amacher Family Fund in Memory of Mary L. Frye Scholarship Fund. Provide a scholarship to student pursuing a 2- or 4-year program or degree in agriculture or a related field. Preference given to student who participated in agricultural programs, demonstrates leadership qualities, and demonstrates financial need.

Beverly J. Laubach Scholarship Fund in Memory of Betty L. Dietz. Provide an annual scholarship to a Danville Area High School graduating senior. A scholarship will be awarded to a graduate who is pursuing a degree in education to become a teacher. Consideration will be given to students who demonstrate financial need, desire to become a teacher, potential to succeed and strong work ethic. A new student will be chosen annually to receive this one-year award.

Bloch-Selinger Educational Fund. Two scholarships will be awarded for a period of four years for the benefit of a graduating Danville School District student(s) who are one male honor student and one female honor student. The recipient must remain a student in good standing at their accredited school or university.

Carl J. Marrara Memorial Scholarship Fund. Awarded to a student who has been accepted into a full-time undergraduate program at an accredited institution of higher education, preferably in Pennsylvania. The candidate exhibits good citizenship, is a leader with a good sense of humor, is grounded, shows tolerance of others, is honest, has integrity and demonstrates financial need.

Cole Family Scholarship Fund. Students attending Danville High School who have been accepted into a 2- or 4-year or trade/technical accredited institution of higher education. The student will have unmet financial need. Other than a strong potential for success, such factors as class rank and grade point average will not be selection criteria.

Cotner Family Scholarship Fund. Provide a scholarship(s) for the benefit of a graduating Danville Area School District senior(s) who has been accepted and will attend an accredited two- or four-year college, full-time, pursuing studies in agriculture and/or agricultural-related fields. The candidate exhibits good citizenship, leadership, honesty, integrity, and demonstrates financial need.

Danville Area SD Alumni Association Scholarship Fund. Provide a scholarship to a student who will attend an accredited two-year trade, technical, associate degree program or four-year accredited Pennsylvania college, university or degree program who demonstrates financial need; has demonstrated through employment or volunteer history the ability to succeed, be self-motivated and possesses strong ethics; and has attained a B or C average, not necessarily the most outstanding scholar or athlete but rather has worked diligently to master his/her academic courses.

Danville Area School District Band Boosters Scholarship Fund. Provide a scholarship(s) for the benefit of a graduating Danville Area School District senior(s) who will attend, full-time, an accredited two- or four-year accredited college, university or trade school and has resided in Danville School District and participated in band for no less than four years.

Danville Education Association Scholarship Fund "DEA". Provide a scholarship to a student who has been accepted into a full-time undergraduate program at an accredited institution of higher education, pursuing a Major in Education. Must show credible evidence of good study habits and self-discipline which will enable him/her to be successful as a college student and as an educator. Displays positive attitudes toward peers, authoritative figures, and community; participated in 3 extracurricular activities in high school.

Danville High School Class of 1939 Scholarship Fund. Provide a scholarship(s) for the benefit of a graduating Danville Area School District senior(s) who has been accepted into a full-time undergraduate degree program or specialized training at a trade school.

Danville High School Class of 1943 Scholarship Fund. Provide a scholarship(s) for the benefit of a graduating Danville Area School District senior(s) who is entering trade, technical, LPN, business, certificate, or similar associate degree program. Demonstrates financial need.

Danville High School Class of 1963 Scholarship Fund. Provide a scholarship(s) for the benefit of a graduating Danville Area School District senior(s) who is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree from a qualified institution of higher education and with community service and volunteering.

Danville Rotary Scholarship Fund. Provide a scholarship(s) for the benefit of a graduating Danville Area School District senior who will attend, full-time, an accredited two- or four-year institution of higher education; exhibits good citizenship, honesty, and integrity; and volunteers with the community and/or charity(s) demonstrating Rotary's motto, "Service above Self".

Danville Unrestricted Scholarship in Memory of Eleanor M. Burke. This scholarship was established in honor of Eleanor McWilliams Burke, a lifelong resident of Danville. Mrs. Burke received her Bachelor of Science degree from Hood College and was a food dietitian and service manager at the Danville State Hospital for 30 years. A one-year award will be given to a female senior attending Danville Area High School in need of financial assistance who has been accepted into a full-time undergraduate program at an accredited institution of higher education. Special consideration given to students entering a health-related field, which includes but is not limited to medicine, nursing, nutrition, pharmacy, or physical therapy. Consideration will be given to student exhibiting good character, academic performance, career goals and participation in school and/or community activities.

Deutsch Family Memorial Scholarship Fund. Provide a scholarship to a student who demonstrates excellence in academics and proficiency in athletics.

Donald J. Seebold Scholarship Fund. Provide a scholarship to a student who demonstrates the academic ability to complete a program in an institution of higher education; preference to a course of study in economics or business administration and demonstrates extracurricular activities, community involvement, good citizenship characteristics and unmet financial need.

Eister Janssen Scholarship Fund. One scholarship will be awarded to a student pursuing a degree in engineering. Preference given to a student who demonstrates leadership qualities, has participated in community service programs and demonstrates financial need.

Gerald J. Levandoski Memorial Scholarship Fund. Provide a scholarship to a student pursuing an education in engineering or science (preferably engineering). Exhibits good citizenship and community involvement.

Jack and Gladys Magill Family Scholarship Fund. Provide scholarships to Danville Area High School graduating seniors pursuing post-secondary education in nursing to obtain a certification, 2-year, or 4-year degree. Primary consideration given to students who are active in community service, lend a helpful hand to people, and demonstrate a passion for enjoying life. This fund will award a one-year scholarship to one student.

Jack Curry Athletic Scholarship Fund. Scholarship will be awarded to a student pursuing a 2- or 4-year program/degree and have participated in athletics at Danville High School. Preference given to student who demonstrates sportsmanship and leadership. Preference given to multi-sport athlete.

Jane Hood Memorial Scholarship Fund. Provide a scholarship to a student accepted into a full-time undergraduate program at an institution of higher education. One scholarship will be awarded to a student majoring in math or science, including engineering (preference given to math), and one scholarship will be awarded to a student majoring in graphic/visual arts.

Jason Gordon Memorial Scholarship Fund. Provide an annual scholarship to a Danville Area High School graduating senior, male or female, pursuing post-secondary education for a certification program, associate, or undergraduate degree, who participated in football, basketball, or baseball. Consideration will be given to students who demonstrate kindness, teamwork, and encouragement to others.

Joan and Fred Miller Family Scholarship Fund. Provide scholarships to Danville Area High School graduating seniors pursuing post-secondary education to obtain a certification or degree. Primary consideration will be given to students in the top 50% of their class who are involved in extracurricular activities and volunteer in the community.

Joan M. Miller/Dancing Hen Farm Scholarship Fund*. To support students across the Foundation's service area who are pursuing a major in an agriculture-related field.

Kyle "Bucky" Kizis Memorial Scholarship Fund. Established in memory of Kyle, a Danville High School junior who passed away in March 2020. Kyle was a source of laughter for everyone that knew and loved him. He was a competitive and fun-loving member of the Ironmen baseball and bowling teams and will be remembered for his charming personality and how easily he could make people smile. This fund will award a scholarship to a Danville Area High School graduating senior.

Lady Liberty Scholarship. Provide annual scholarship(s) to Danville Area High School graduating seniors who are children of immigrants. Both parents must be immigrants, however parental residence will not be considered. Citizenship status of either the student or parents will not be a factor. Consideration will be given to students who are pursuing a post-secondary education (technical, certification or degree) and demonstrate financial need, strong work ethic and community involvement. Applicants will be asked to write a short essay about any cultural challenges they or their parents have faced. This scholarship amends for any unkind treatment of the immigrant community while honoring and recognizing the contributions they have made to our country. Past recipients may apply annually during their undergraduate studies.

Mackenzie E. Riley Memorial Scholarship Fund. Provide one or more scholarships for graduates from Danville Area High School and/or Shikellamy High School who have participated in athletics and will be attending a two- or four-year institution of higher education. Special consideration given to a student(s) who is an all-around intense and loyal team leader with natural athletic intuition, who conducts themselves in a selfless manner while displaying a confident, positive, respectful, and encouraging demeanor. This smart and creative individual puts the team's success above his/her own and can be deemed a versatile player not defined by one position or role on a team.

Mollie Harter Memorial Fund. Provide a scholarship to a student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree from a qualified institution of higher education with an interest in a career in education, ideally secondary education, or alternatively other careers working with children. Experience with community service and volunteering, and interest in working with children shall be a consideration.

Nadel Family Scholarship Fund. Provides scholarships to graduating Danville High School seniors who are pursuing a degree in education at Bloomsburg University. Applicants should provide evidence of good academic standing and financial need.

Rechsteiner Family Scholarship Fund. Two scholarships will be awarded for four years, one male and one female. Recipients must continue to study education or science and a minimum GPA of 2.7, out of a possible 4.0, after the end of their freshman year and for the balance of their undergraduate education. One scholarship will be awarded to a student majoring in education, and one will be awarded to a student majoring in science.

Robert L. Gatski, M.D. and Betty E. Gatski Healthcare Profession Scholarship Fund. Provides a multi-year scholarship to a Danville Area High School graduating senior pursuing a degree in a healthcare-related field, including medicine (M.D. or D.O.), physician's assistant, nursing (RN or BSN), or physical therapy. Consideration is given to students who demonstrate financial need, strong work ethic, and a passion for practicing healthcare.

Robert W. Buehner, Jr. and Robin Buehner Kindness Scholarship Fund and the Buehner DHS Class of 2004 Fund. Awards a scholarship to a graduate of Danville Area School District attending a higher education institution, with preference to Westminster College, Bloomsburg University, or Shippensburg University, to study healthcare. Special consideration is given to an individual who is recognized by the faculty, staff, students, and administration as being kind towards others.

Roger S. and Lois W. Haddon Nursing Scholarship Fund*. Provide scholarships for high school graduate(s) of the Danville, Lewisburg, Shikellamy, and Selinsgrove school districts who are pursuing nursing degrees. Past recipients may apply for the following year. One or more awards may be granted annually, provided the Foundation award minimum is met for each award.

Ronald J. Kanaskie Leadership Scholarship Fund. Provide scholarships for graduates from Danville High School who demonstrated leadership qualities, participated in either varsity wrestling and/or golf programs, and demonstrates financial need.

Roscoe A. Faust and William C. Heller Family Trust. Demonstrates the academic ability to complete a program in an institution of higher education; preference to a course of study in veterinary medicine, paralegal, agricultural-related fields, or engineering; successful involvement in school-related extracurricular activities and in the community; and demonstrates good citizenship.

Royer Family Scholarship Fund. Provide scholarships to Danville Area High School graduating seniors pursuing a career in the Arts. Consideration will be given to students enrolling in a certification program, associates, or undergraduate degree program, with a career focus including journalism, music, fine arts, digital media, or other related field. Special consideration will be given to students who participated in the forensics program.

Sandra W. O'Rourke Scholarship Fund. Provide an annual scholarship to a Danville Area High School graduating senior pursuing post-secondary education for a certification program, associate, or undergraduate degree, that focuses on serving, outreach or providing care to others. Special consideration will be given to students who have demonstrated compassion, love, and altruism towards others. Additional consideration will be given to students with financial need, those enrolling in a local LPN program, or children of immigrants.

Saramae Radel Memorial Scholarship Fund*. Offered to a graduating high school senior in Snyder, Union, or Northumberland Counties pursuing post-secondary education in business, finance, banking, or a related field.

Stanley B. Gum Memorial Trucking Scholarship Fund*. Provide scholarships to Montour County residents attending/graduating from Danville Area High School or Columbia-Montour Vo-Tech School who is pursuing a career as a truck driver at an accredited/licensed Commercial Drivers License (CDL) training program. Consideration will be given to students who carry on a tradition of being a hard-working and responsible individual.

The Simington Family Scholarship Fund. Provide scholarship(s) for a graduate(s) of Danville Area School District pursuing higher education in a two- or four-year accredited college, university, or trade school. Applicant(s) must have resided in the Danville School District for no less than three years and have demonstrated themselves to be civic and community-minded and possess a genuine sincerity to obtain a post-high school degree.

Thomas E. Beiter Memorial Scholarship Fund*. Benefits students in the Danville area pursuing post-secondary education, with preference to those studying business.

Valeria Walton Woods Memorial Scholarship Fund. Provide a scholarship to a student who exemplifies a potential for success and demonstrates an unmet financial need.

Victor and Linda Marks Health Career Scholarship Fund. Provide a scholarship to Danville Area High School graduating seniors pursuing an undergraduate degree in the field of nursing or medicine. Career focus includes pre-medicine, pre-dentistry, or pre-veterinary programs. Special consideration will be given to students with financial need and who have demonstrated service to community.

Walter A. "Whitey" and Nan C. McCloskey Scholarship Fund. Accepted into a full-time undergraduate program at an accredited institution of higher education, preferably in Pennsylvania; enrolled in the fall semester immediately following secondary school graduation or date of acceptance as a full-time student; and attained a boy or girls' letter in basketball, football or baseball in the event basketball is discontinued at Danville High School.

William P. Flaim Scholarship Fund*. Benefits Hazleton Area STEM School graduating seniors pursuing post-secondary education. Students must have attended Drums Elementary School to be eligible, and preference will be given to students with academic achievement and participation in extra-curricular activities.

Joan M. Miller/Dancing Hen Farm Scholarship Fund*. To support students across the Foundation's service area who are pursuing a major in an agriculture-related field.

Steven and Judith Bottiger Scholarship Fund*. Available to second, third, and fourth-year undergraduate students attending an accredited Bachelor of Architecture degree program at one of the following schools: Carnegie Mellon University, Drexel University, Lehigh University, Marywood University, Penn State University, or University of Pennsylvania. Preference is given for graduates of Lewisburg, Midd-West, Mifflinburg, or Selinsgrove School Districts.

Community Giving Foundation: Sunbury - Health Profession Scholarships*. Offers scholarships to students who reside in the Shikellamy, Selinsgrove, and Line Mountain School Districts through the Sunbury Area Health Fund. Students must be majoring in a health profession field, broadly defined to encompass the many and varied health-related careers ranging from nursing and dental assistant to health education, allied health, and therapy, to dentistry and medicine. Enrollment can be in an undergraduate, graduate, or certification program at an institution of higher education. Students at any phase in their post-secondary education can apply. This scholarship is not limited to graduating high school seniors or "new" students. Applicants must apply for financial aid which they are eligible for (ex: PHEAA). Scholarship amounts will be determined on an individual basis.

Kreamer Feed Scholarship Fund. Provide scholarships for a Midd-West graduating senior pursuing a career in agriculture.

Joanne McCall Spaide Simington and Paul Simington Scholarship Fund*. Provide scholarships for graduates of Mifflinburg High School pursuing degrees in an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or technical school program. The recipient must reside within the present boundaries of the Mifflinburg School District for a minimum of three years immediately prior to graduation. The fund shall provide for students pursuing degrees in agriculture and/or forestry, but not including landscaping or landscape architecture, and/or education majors. Financial need will prevail over grades in award selection.

Joan M. Miller/Dancing Hen Farm Scholarship Fund*. To support students across the Foundation's service area who are pursuing a major in an agriculture-related field.

The Dorothy St. John Gutelius Memorial Scholarship*. (The Alumni and Friends of Mifflinburg Area School District Foundation) This scholarship is in memory of previous long-term Mifflinburg Area educator who valued higher education and devoted her life to teaching. One scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior of Mifflinburg Area High School. Preference given to student who displays a well-rounded approach and dedication to their education in the past and in the future.

The Kathy E. Mapes Memorial Scholarship*. (The Alumni and Friends of Miflfinburg Area School District Foundation) This scholarship is in memory of a community and school volunteer. Kathy was on Board of Directors of the Alumni and Friends of Mifflinburg Area School District Foundation. One scholarship will be awarded to a student who is an active volunteer in the local community and school district.

Leighow Family Century Farm Scholarship Fund*. Benefits graduating senior students from the Millville and Warrior Run School Districts, with preference given to students who reside in or around Anthony and Madison Townships and who are pursuing post-secondary education. Awards are intended to recognize students who have demonstrated strong academic achievement, love of fellow man, personal character, and a commitment to caring for and preserving that natural world.

Joan M. Miller/Dancing Hen Farm Scholarship Fund*. To support students across the Foundation's service area who are pursuing a major in an agriculture-related field.

Steve Anoia Memorial Scholarship Fund. This fund honors the memory of Steve, who died tragically from ALS in 2020. Steve was a 1997 graduate of Mt. Carmel Area Jr./Sr. High School, where he was a beloved friend to many. He will always be remembered as someone who embraced kindness and inclusivity and fought for the underdog. This scholarship, established by Steve's friends and family, will be awarded to a Mt. Carmel graduating senior enrolling in a post-secondary certification program, associates, or undergraduate degree program.

Joan M. Miller/Dancing Hen Farm Scholarship Fund*. To support students across the Foundation's service area who are pursuing a major in an agriculture-related field.

John A. Bolig Seals Alumni Scholarship Fund*. Available to high school seniors or graduates (alumni) of Selinsgrove School District, who will be enrolled in a post-secondary program (certification, courses, associate, bachelor's degree) at an institution of higher education or technical school. Special consideration is given to students who are pursuing a technical career (including heating, plumbing, etc.). This is a one-year award.

John M. Cooper Scholarship Fund*. Provide annual scholarship(s) to Selinsgrove High School graduating senior(s) pursuing post-secondary education in Pharmacy at an accredited institution. Consideration given to student(s) with a 3.0 GPA or higher with demonstrated ability to successfully complete the rigorous coursework necessary of a pharmacy student. Preference extended to students actively involved in volunteerism, service and cizitenship. A one-year award or a multi-year award will be considered as the fund allows.

Lois C. Miller Scholarship Fund. Provide scholarships to Selinsgrove Area High School graduating seniors pursuing the study of history and plan on becoming a history teacher. This scholarship will award a one-year scholarship to one student annually.

Madelyn L. Whitmer Education Scholarship Fund. Provide scholarships to Selinsgrove Area High School graduating seniors pursuing a teaching career. Consideration will be given to good students demonstrating a strong work ethic, financial need, and who has experience with community service. The student does not necessarily need to be a straight A student.

Patricia H. and Richard E. Garman Scholarship Fund*. Available to graduating seniors or graduates (alumni) from Selinsgrove High School who are attending a post-secondary school for a 2-year degree, 4-year degree, or certification, at a university or trade school. Consideration given to students who demonstrate financial need.

Selinsgrove Area High School Golf Boosters Club Senior Award. Recognizes a senior student(s) who demonstrates commendable attributes such as integrity, leadership, sportsmanship, teamwork, and perseverance—qualities that reflect the spirit of the Booster Club and the Selinsgrove Golf program.

Selinsgrove Rotary / Selinsgrove Area Scholarship Fund*. Community Giving Foundation: Selinsgrove and Selinsgrove Area Rotary club offer scholarships to qualifying high school graduating seniors from Selinsgrove High School and SUN Area Technical Institute who pursue a 2- or 4-year program or degree at an accredited post-secondary institution. Special consideration given to student's academic achievement, financial need and potential for success in their education. Selinsgrove and Rotary take great pride in being able to help students achieve their undergraduate goals and see them move on to become leaders in business and professional careers. Rotary's motto is "Service Above Self", and past and current recipients are proving this to be true with their volunteer involvement in school/community activities and organizations.

Simon B. and Kathryn Rhoads Family Scholarship Fund*. Available to high school seniors or graduates (alumni) of the Selinsgrove Area School District. Preference will be given to students pursuing higher education in a field of study related to agriculture, in a two- or four-year program. This is a one-year award.

To Celebrate the Life of Patients of Cancer Care of Central Pennsylvania Fund. Provided to a Selinsgrove High School senior who attains the highest GPA in Biology and is pursuing a post-secondary education. (No application)

Wayne and Nancy Van Kirk Scholarship Fund*. Available to high school graduates from Selinsgrove High School who have participated in extracurricular activities and/or community service and will be entering a trade, technical, LPN, business, computer, certificate and/or similar associate degree program. The application must also demonstrate a financial need and have a minimum GPA of 2.0 (based on a 4.0 scale). This is a one-year award.

Marian Eleanor Weikel Scholarship Fund*. Provide a four-year scholarship to a Shamokin Area High School graduation senior who will be attending an accredited college or university in the United States. The first recipient shall be a female; subsequent recipients can be male or female. Special consideration given to a student with extreme financial need, who has demonstrated leadership qualities and has an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Maria Evitts-Culp Scholarship Fund. Provide scholarships for graduates from Shikellamy High School who are pursuing a degree in special education. Special consideration will be given to students who have participated in band or volunteer activities with children.

Northumberland High School Alumni Association Scholarship Fund. Benefits students residing in Northumberland Borough and/or Point Township for a minimum of four consecutive years, who are pursuing a higher education at a 2- or 4-year educational institution. Students should demonstrate academic achievement, extra-curricular/community involvement, and financial need. Traditional and non-traditional applicants will be considered.

Robert E. and Elinor L. Zimmerman Scholarship Fund*. Provide a two-year scholarship to a graduating Shikellamy School District senior, who may or may not be enrolled in SUN Area Technical Institute's Auto Technology or the Collison Repair Technology classes, who is pursuing post-secondary education at a two-year certified or accredited trade or technical school. Consideration will be given to students who have good attendance, good GPA, participation in community service, and zero disciplinary infractions. IF no candidates are eligible from these program areas, secondary consideration will be trade areas of HVAC, carpentry, welding, machining, and electrical. One new two-year scholarship will be awarded annually to a student.

Shikellamy Area High School Senior Golf Award. Provides an annual grant to the Shikellamy Area High School for the purpose of presenting a senior golf award, honoring senior golfer(s) who exemplify the values at the heart of the Shikellamy Golf program.

Joan M. Miller/Dancing Hen Farm Scholarship Fund*. To support students across the Foundation's service area who are pursuing a major in an agriculture-related field.

R. Scott Kohler Memorial Scholarship Fund. Scott is remembered as a loving son, brother, and friend, as well as a talented visionary and compassionate individual. A graduate of Southern Columbia School District, Scott was a hard working and dedicated student. He received a degree in electronic engineering from Monmouth University and in his career contributed to our nation's security by pioneering engineering projects that assist our military and protect our citizens. On December 10, 2013, at the entrance to 12WD Building 6003 Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, a Blues Atlas Cedar Tree and Memorial Plaque were dedicated to Scott for his contribution to our nation's security as a constant reminder for generations to come. Established as a tribute to his legacy, this fund awards a scholarship annually to a graduating senior of Southern Columbia seeking higher education through a 4-year college program.

Bernice Bissell Business & Technology Scholarship Award. (Passion in Pathways Awards)* Ten awards will be given to students who have demonstrated a passion and commitment in one of the five career pathways: (1) Arts & Humanities, (2) Business, Communication & Information Technology, (3) Engineering, Manufacturing & Industrial Technology, (4) Human Services, (5) Science & Health.

Bernice Bissell Business & Technology Scholarship Award. (Defender PRIDE Award)* One award for a graduating senior who exemplifies perseverance, respect, integrity, dedication and excellence in his/her daily life.

Dale E. Schooley Achievement Award*. Provide an annual scholarship to a Warrior Run School District graduating senior who is a special education or work-study student and has achieved beyond his/her expected success. Special consideration given to a student entering a technical school.

Eiderson S. and Phyllis E. Biddle Scholarship Fund*. Up to 3-year scholarship award given to a Warrior Run School District graduating senior attending a 2- or 4-year post-secondary school. Students who display excellent student citizenship and desire to succeed will be considered. Special consideration given to students demonstrating financial need.

H. William Koch Scholarship Award*. This award, given in memory of H. William Koch, is presented to a graduating senior who has demonstrated a love of learning, an excellent work ethic and a financial need to further his/her education. Student must have a cumulative average of at least 83%.

Joan M. Miller/Dancing Hen Farm Scholarship Fund*. To support students across the Foundation's service area who are pursuing a major in an agriculture-related field.

John E. Corman Scholarship Fund*. Provide annual scholarship to one or more Warrior Run School District graduating senior(s) attending a post-secondary school. Students who standout in academics, activities and display good school citizenship will be considered with special consideration given to students whose first priority is academics.

Katharine A. Swope Scholarship Fund*. Provide an annual scholarship to a Warrior Run School District graduating senior attending a 2- or 4-year post-secondary school. Students must have an overall minimum GPA of 3.0 and a 3.0 or higher in English. Students will be required to submit an essay, not to exceed 500 words, highlighting an event in high school that changed their life. Special consideration given to students demonstrating financial need. One or two scholarships may be awarded annually dependent on application review and need.

Linda McNeal Scholarship Fund*. Provide an annual scholarship to a Warrior Run graduating senior pursuing a certification or degree at a trade school. Mrs. McNeal was retired from the Warrior Run School District, where she served as the business manager, and was known as a vibrant and joyful woman. Family and friends knew that creating a scholarship fund was the perfect way to honor Mrs. McNeal's memory and passion after her passing.

Marlin K Troutman Memorial Arts Award*. To support an award for graduating high school student(s) based on criteria representing the legacy and memory of Marlin K. Troutman.

The Jack Zeigler Memorial Scholarship Award*. Given to a graduating senior in memory of Mr. Jack Zeigler, who best exemplifies the following: always giving the best academic effort; participating enthusiastically in school and community activities; faithfully fulfilling commitments to others; and conducting oneself with integrity and fairness.

Warrior Run Scholarship Fund Award*. To the graduating senior who will be attending a two- or four-year program and has demonstrated financial need. Student must have a cumulative average of at least 83%.

Warrior Run Scholarship Fund - Leadership & Citizenship Award*. To the graduating senior who exhibits a high degree of leadership skill through involvement in school and/or community activities, enthusiasm for life, and ability to get along with fellow students. Student must have a cumulative average of at least 83%.

Warrior Run Scholarship Fund - Outstanding Scholarship Award*. For a graduating senior who is going into a college program and who exhibits outstanding scholarship and character. Student must have a cumulative average of at least 83%.

William S. and Virginia Hartman Family Scholarship Fund*. Warrior Run High School seniors attending the Pennsylvania State University are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Special consideration will be given to students who are studying agriculture or education, have exhibited a high degree of academic achievement and community involvement (4-H or other educational and service-oriented youth programs), and are the first in their immediate family to attend a bachelor's program. This is a one-year award.
