The annual Neighbors Helping Neighbors Event will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at The Barn at Frosty Valley. We hope you can join us for this fund evening as we bring together Danville neighbors to celebrate community growth and the difference we can make together. Proceeds from the event benefit the Community Giving Foundation: Danville's Neighbors Helping Neighbors Fund, which has awarded over $175,000 to support local nonprofit organizations providing vital services and programs in the greater Danville area. 2026 "Neighbor of the Year Award"
The 2026 event committee is pleased to begin accepting nominations for the "Neighbor of the Year Award", honoring an outsanding neighbor (individual, family, or business) that has exemplified a generous spirit of community service in the greater Danville area. The award is presented in memory of Robert N. Pursel, a shining example of duty and philanthropy. Since 1995, 40 neighbors have been honored and celebrated for their similar dedication to community giving. View a full list of past recipients and read more about Robert Pursel's life and legacy.
