Community Giving Foundation is proud to announce its re-accreditation under the Community Foundations National Standards®, a prestigious national designation recognizing the highest levels of transparency, accountability, ethical practice, and financial stewardship in philanthropy.
This rigorous accreditation process requires documentation and demonstration of best practices across all areas of operation, including donor services, investment management, grantmaking, governance, and administration. The Foundation’s policies and practices were reviewed by independent experts appointed by the National Standards Board, a supporting organization of the Council on Foundations in Washington, D.C. More than 500 community foundations nationwide have earned this designation.
The re-accreditation confirms that Community Giving Foundation continues to meet and exceed national benchmarks for ethical practices, donor accountability, and operational integrity. It affirms the expertise and care donors and community partners experience when they entrust charitable dollars to the Foundation.
“Accreditation is not required for community foundations, but the process is important to us. It assures our community that the Foundation takes our values of stewardship, trust, and integrity to heart,” said Kara G. Seesholtz, Foundation President and CEO. “This recognition reinforces our commitment to maximizing community impact in perpetuity, keeping the charitable goals of our donors and the needs of our community at the forefront.”
