Community Giving Foundation is pleased to welcome two new members to its regional Board of Directors in 2026.
Greg Cole
Greg Cole is a fourth-generation partner in Cole’s Hardware, a regional retail store chain covering six counties in the Susquehanna Valley. He has been a lifelong resident of the area and entered the family business upon his graduation from Susquehanna University. He has supported various operational and leadership roles throughout his career.
Cole has served the community through involvement with many organizations, including Community Giving Foundation: Danville, Danville Business Alliance, Danville Area Community Center, Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce, and DRIVE regional economic Council of Governments. He looks forward to his involvement with the Foundation regional board to continue the growth of the organization through the generosity of those who give back to our communities in perpetuity. Cole resides near Danville with his wife, Sandy, and has two grown children in the area.
Joe Scopelliti
Joe Scopelliti has been involved with many organizations in the area during his years of employment at PPL. After retiring, he stepped back to care for his brother, John, who passed in 2021. He is active in the community, believing in the importance of giving time, money, or ideas to enhance local lives and serve as an example to others. Scopelliti believes the Foundation is the organization positioned to improve the community and region. He looks forward to serving on the Foundation regional board and shared, “I hope I can be measured by my ability to make a difference.”
