Job Title: Impact Coordinator
Reports to: President and CEO
Position Type: Full-time, exempt
Salary: $46,000-48,000 based on experience, plus benefits

The Community Giving Foundation is accepting applications immediately for a full-time Impact Coordinator. The position advances the Foundation’s mission by strengthening strategic grantmaking, data-informed decision making, and nonprofit capacity building throughout the Foundation’s regional service area. Working collaboratively with Foundation staff, nonprofit organizations, and community partners, the Impact Coordinator evaluates community needs, supports strategic grantmaking, tracks grant outcomes and impact metrics, and helps ensure Foundation resources create meaningful and measurable community impact.
The Impact Coordinator serves as an internal resource on community trends and emerging needs while helping connect data and funding opportunities that align with Foundation and community priorities. This position also oversees nonprofit leadership programming and regional collaboration initiatives while supporting continuous improvement of the Foundation’s grantmaking and reporting systems.
Essential Responsibilities
Strategic Grantmaking and Evaluation
- Evaluate grant applications to assess community need, organizational capacity, project readiness, and anticipated impact.
- Participate in grant review meetings and present recommendations to Foundation boards, advisory committees, and grant review committees.
- Collect, enter, monitor, and evaluate grant outcome data and performance metrics.
- Track grant outcomes to better understand long-term community impact and organizational effectiveness.
- Use Foundation data and community outcome measures to develop impact reports and dashboards in collaboration with communications/marketing staff.
- Recommend improvements to grant evaluation processes and outcome measurement practices.
Technology and Data Reporting
- Utilize Foundant CommunitySuite (CSuite), Grant Lifecycle Manager (GLM), and related software systems to collect, analyze, and report Foundation impact.
- Support integration between CSuite and GLM to improve reporting and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate grant outcome information and organizational metrics.
- Produce reports that support Foundation priorities and strategic planning efforts.
- Support implementation and ongoing refinement of grant reporting requirements.
- Assist with future creation, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the Foundation’s Grant Catalog through CSuite/GLM.
Nonprofit Leadership and Capacity Building
- Coordinate the Foundation’s monthly Nonprofit Leadership Series by identifying educational priorities based on nonprofit and community needs and recruiting presenters and subject matter experts.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend future topics.
- Collaborate with communications/marketing staff to coordinate communications, registration, and event logistics.
- Participate as a member of the Elevate2 Nonprofit Conference planning committee by recommending conference themes, educational sessions, and speakers that address current nonprofit needs.
- Coordinate ongoing activities of the Nonprofit Executive Team (NET), fostering collaboration and peer learning throughout the region.
- Support regional Foundation programs in collaboration with staff.
Needs, Trends, and Community Initiatives
- Monitor local and regional community needs, trends, and emerging issues throughout the Foundation’s 5 1/2 county service area.
- Participate in, coordinate, and convene community meetings, stakeholder discussions, and collaborative initiatives to better understand community priorities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with nonprofit organizations, community leaders, government agencies, educational and healthcare institutions, and other regional partners.
- Stay informed on regional priorities, including but not limited to housing, transportation, food insecurity, mental health, childcare, workforce development, etc.
- Conduct nonprofit site visits and participate in community meetings to strengthen understanding of local needs and opportunities.
- As a member of the Foundation’s Impact Team, support strategic decision making by sharing community observations, trends, and priorities.
- Support Foundation staff in donor stewardship efforts by sharing community needs, trends, and priorities as needed.
Collaboration and Key Relationships
The Impact Coordinator works collaboratively with all Foundation staff to advance organizational goals, supporting a collaborative culture by participating in cross-training, documenting processes, and contributing to Foundation-wide initiatives. This position works closely with Foundation staff, Foundation boards and committees, nonprofit organizations, community leaders, educational and healthcare institutions, government agencies, and regional collaborative organizations.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, public administration, community development, education, communications, social sciences, or related field.
- Three to five years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience facilitating meetings and building collaborative relationships.
- Ability to analyze data and translate findings into recommendations.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
Preferred
- Experience working across multiple counties or regions.
- Experience with grantmaking or grant evaluations.
- Experience collecting and evaluating program outcomes and impact metrics.
- Knowledge of nonprofit organizations, philanthropy, and community foundations.
- Experience facilitating community collaborations and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience utilizing Foundant CommunitySuite and Grant Lifecycle Manager, or similar grant management software.

Hours and Benefits
- The Foundation office is located at 725 West Front Street, Berwick.
- The nature of this position allows for flexibility to regularly work between 7am-5pm. Travel, events, board meetings, and other meetings with committees and organizations often occur outside of these hours.
- Option to work 9/10 days with every other Friday off.
- Work from home (WFH) option available 20 hours per two-week pay period, following set parameters in the WFH guidelines and employee handbook.
- Ability to travel with personal vehicle within the Foundation’s 5 1/2 county footprint is expected.
