Volunteers in Philanthropy Award 2026 Grants

The Volunteers in Philanthropy of the Community Giving Foundation are pleased to announce grant awards totaling $12,000 to local charitable nonprofits and government agencies serving the Berwick area. Grant decisions through the Volunteers in Philanthropy Fund are directed by a group of local donors committed to supporting the Berwick community in meaningful ways, with a focus on programs providing direct impact and service to Berwick area residents.

2026 Grant Recipients

  • AGAPE Love From Above To Our Community—Operation “Teamwork Makes the Dream Work”, $1,000
  • Berwick Arts Association—Berwick Community Art Initiative, $2,000
  • Berwick Boulevard Association—Organization Support/Sponsorship, $1,000
  • Berwick Historical Society—The Gardens Project, $5,000
  • Beyond Violence, Inc.—Support for Shelter Programs, $1,000
  • For the Cause—Education Expansion Development Program, $1,000
  • Stuart Tank Memorial Association—Organization Support, $1,000

Since 2010, Volunteers in Philanthropy has granted over $150,000 to Berwick organizations. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for Berwick area residents, with the goal of enriching volunteerism and making meaningful grant investments. Over its history, members have participated in a number of events and activities to promote community connections and growth. Community Giving Foundation convenes and connects people, resources, and ideas.
