Scholarship Established to Honor Life of Leadership, Learning, Community

January 29, 2026

Community Giving Foundation is honored to announce the creation of the Saramae Radel Memorial Scholarship Fund, established to honor the life, leadership, and compassion of Saramae, whose bright spirit and dedication to others left a lasting impact on her community.

A proud collegiate field hockey player, community volunteer, and rising leader at Fulton Bank, Saramae was known for her warmth, inclusivity, and passion for learning. She built meaningful connections wherever she went—whether in the classroom, on the field, or in the workplace—and was deeply committed to personal and professional growth. Most recently, she was a Management Trainee at Fulton Bank, where she quickly distinguished herself as a future leader.

The scholarship fund was created to carry forward the values Saramae lived every day: investing in people, creating opportunity, and encouraging growth. “Saramae naturally built community wherever she went by leading with kindness, inclusivity, and a genuine interest in others,” said Jess Gehringer, Saramae’s manager at Fulton Bank. “She believed in working hard, learning continuously, and changing lives for the better. This scholarship honors the way Saramae lived by extending opportunities, encouraging growth, and ensuring her positive influence continues long after her time with us.”

The Saramae Radel Memorial Scholarship Fund will support students who demonstrate potential, curiosity, and a strong work ethic, helping reduce financial barriers and invest in the next generation of leaders. The award will be available to graduating high school seniors in Snyder, Union, or Northumberland Counties pursing post-secondary education in business, finance, banking, or a related field.
