Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania—Bloomsburg senior Jessica Troxel has been named the recipient of the 2025 Bloomsburg Greek Alumni Scholarship. Troxel, president of the Chi Theta Pi sorority, was selected from a competitive pool of applicants for her outstanding leadership, service, philanthropy, and academic achievement.
Troxel will receive a $1,200 scholarship in recognition of her commitment to excellence both on campus and in the community. She is pursuing a double major in Criminal Justice and Digital Forensics and is currently completing an internship with the Northumberland County District Attorney’s Office. Her passion for community service began during a 2019 mission trip to Puerto Rico, which inspired her ongoing dedication to volunteerism and leadership within her Greek organization. Throughout her collegiate career, Troxel has held multiple leadership roles in Chi Theta Pi, promoting service, sisterhood, and civic engagement among her peers.
In reflecting on the award, Troxel shared her gratitude for the support of Bloomsburg’s Greek alumni community: “This scholarship will have a meaningful impact on my academic and professional journey. Being selected for this scholarship has made me feel incredibly thankful to be part of such an amazing and supportive community of Greek members. It is an honor to know that the hard work and dedication I’ve put into my organization are recognized and valued by alumni.”
The Bloomsburg Greek Alumni Scholarship is a fund of Community Giving Foundation: Bloomsburg. It recognizes students involved in Greek life who demonstrate a strong record of academic success, leadership, and community involvement. Established by Bloomsburg University alumni, the scholarship celebrates student leaders who exemplify the values of scholarship, service, and leadership.
Community Giving Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that develops, manages, and distributes funds for charitable purposes, helping donors maximize their community impact in the Central Susquehanna region both now and for future generations. The Foundation manages over 385 funds and awards over $3 million annually to benefit local nonprofit initiatives and educational opportunities for students.
