Volunteers in Philanthropy Awards 2025 Grants

The Volunteers in Philanthropy of the Community Giving Foundation announces grant awards totaling $12,100 to local charitable nonprofits and government agencies. The awards were granted through the Volunteers in Philanthropy Fund, administered by the Foundation. The group focused its funding decisions on programs that provide direct impact and service to Berwick area residents. Grant recipients in 2025 include:

  • AGAPE Love from Above to Our Community—Code Blue, $2,000
  • Berwick Arts Association—Community Art Initiative, $1,100
  • Berwick Christmas Boulevard—Sponsorship, $500
  • Berwick Historical Society—Carriage House, $5,000
  • Beyond Violence, Inc.—Shelter Programs, $2,000
  • Salem Township Park & Recreation Board—Movies in the Park, $1,500

The mission of Volunteers in Philanthropy is to improve the quality of life for Berwick area residents, with the goal of enriching volunteerism and making meaningful grant investments. Over its history, members have participated in a number of events and activities to promote community connections and growth. Since 2010, Volunteers in Philanthropy has granted over $150,000 to Berwick organizations.
