Grant Events Celebrate Community Impact

September 16, 2024

The Community Giving Foundation welcomed nonprofit grant recipients, donors, board members, and community partners on September 10th and 11th for regional grant impact celebrations. The events were a wonderful time to connect with each other and acknowledge the remarkable impact that charitable giving creates, both regionally and in individual communities across our 5 1/2 county footprint. Special thank you to Kaite Caladie (For the Cause), Bob Stoudt (Montour Area Recreation Commission), Mark Moyer (Setebaid Services, Inc.), and Susie Weller (Union-Snyder Community Action Agency), who each shared how Foundation grantmaking has benefitted the important work of their respective organizations. The Foundation is honored to partner with so many generous and dedicated people as we continue to strengthen our communities together.

Over 235 grantmaking funds are currently administered by the Foundation, awarding over $3 million annually across the region. These grant investments are changing lives by multiplying the impact of nonprofits serving diverse community needs. View a snapshot look at Foundation grantmaking in our new handout here. Foundation grants are awarded through several types of funds and competitive grant rounds made possible by partnerships with five affiliate foundations. Thank you for your continued partnership and unique passions in our communities. Our work is only possible when we come together to achieve bigger and better things that help our region thrive.

We continue to celebrate the legacies of our partners and the role you have each played in creating permanent and visible community impact right here in our communities for 25 years. Over the course of 2024, we are highlighting one story to mark each year of the Foundation’s existence. Our latest stories highlight the diverse ways the Foundation partners with donors and nonprofits to meet community needs and create local impact. Read all anniversary stories at csgiving.org/25-years.
