The Community Giving Foundation is pleased to announce that Eric Pangelinan will serve as Program Officer, effective July 1, 2022.
Pangelinan most recently served as the Foundation’s Operations Assistant, where he provided support for the development and finance departments by processing incoming donations, offering technical support to donors and fundholders, and utilizing the Foundation’s database software to its fullest capabilities. Prior to joining the Foundation team last year, Pangelinan served as a Conference Officer for the Columbia-Montour Domestic Relations Office. He is a native of the Berwick/Nescopeck area and is dedicated to building relationships with area organizations and stakeholders to promote growth in the community he calls home.
As Program Officer, Pangelinan will manage all aspects of the Foundation’s grantmaking and scholarship processes including program research, grantee proposal evaluation, grant activity tracking, and post-grant evaluations. He will also coordinate the Youth in Philanthropy program and represent the Foundation through community leadership opportunities.
“Through my time with the Foundation, I have gotten to see the benefit of partnering with the nonprofits in our area. I am excited to work with them in my new capacity to help better our community,” said Pangelinan.
Over the next several months, Pangelinan will work closely with the current Senior Program Officer and Foundation leadership to ensure a smooth transition for staff and stakeholders. The Foundation will conduct an external search to fill the Operations Assistant vacancy in the coming weeks. More information will be available at csgiving.org.
