The Danville Area Community Foundation recently awarded over $42,500 to local nonprofits. The awards were granted through the following funds: Ackerman Family Fund, The Booth Family Fund, Eleanor M. Burke Fund, Holdren Family Fund, Bonnie Johnson Fund in Memory of Ragnar and Dorothy Johnson, Robert and Geraldine Marks Family Fund, May Family Fund, Metzer Fund, Joan and Fred Miller Family Fund, Neighbors Helping Neighbors Fund, Service 1st Federal Credit Union Fund, Terry and Sandy O’Rourke Family Fund, The Seebold Family Fund, and Jim and Jackie Shutt Fund.
Danville administers a total of 80 endowed and pass-through funds investing over $240,000 annually to local nonprofits and students. These funds include scholarship, donor-advised, field of interest, designated, agency, and unrestricted funds. A complete listing of Danville funds can be found here. 2020 grant recipients include:

The Danville Area Community Foundation is an affiliate of the Central Susquehanna Community Foundation, which helps administer Danville’s grants and scholarship investments. Their mission is helping to meet a multitude of charitable needs of the Danville area. Nonprofit organizations that provide programming in the Danville community and surrounding areas are encouraged to apply during the 2021 competitive grantround.
