Jason Gordon Memorial Scholarship Fund Established

December 1, 2019

The Jason Gordon Memorial Scholarship Fund was created under the Danville Area Community Foundation in memory of 12-year-old Jason Gordon, who passed away on November 29.

Jason was a 7th grade student in the Danville Area Middle School, and a member of the 2017 and 2018 District 13 Championship Teams from the Danville Area Little League. He most recently played on Danville Jr. High School’s football and basketball teams.

Jason was very creative and loved fishing with his friends and playing baseball, basketball and football, and riding his scooter. An encourager to all, he loved to make people laugh with his imitations, quick wit and crazy jokes. One of his favorite pastimes was playing cards with family and friends. Jason had a compassionate heart and a kind spirit and was a blessing to all who knew him.

“This scholarship opportunity through the Foundation serves as a permanent reminder of the kindness Jason had for others, and provides a way for his family and friends to celebrate his passionate spirit while honoring the young man that he was. For many years to come, Jason’s kindness will give opportunities for others in his community.” (Holly Morrison, Foundation president & CEO)

In memory of Jason, donations may be made to the Jason Gordon Memorial Scholarship Fund online at csgiving.org or mailed to the Central Susquehanna Community Foundation (memo line: Jason Gordon), 725 West Front Street, Berwick PA 18603.
