The Selinsgrove Area Community Foundation announces grant opportunities from the Selinsgrove Area Community Foundation Unrestricted Fund, Richard and Anna Mary Wetzel Unrestricted Fund, Gloria Faylor Karchner Charitable Fund, Irwin Lentz Fund and the Patricia H. and Richard E. Garman Fund. This competitive grant round begins now and will continue into March.
The Foundation is dedicated to the enrichment of the quality of life in Selinsgrove and surrounding communities through superior stewardship of enduring charitable gifts. Charitable organizations that invest in community programs and projects are encouraged to apply for grant awards up to $1,000. Approximately $13,000 is available in this grantround.
A significant portion of the available funding is designated to support programs and projects of all charitable purposes that specifically serve residents of the Selinsgrove area. Another portion of the available funding is designated to support youth programs for residents of Selinsgrove, Richfield, Freeburg, and Mt. Pleasant Mills.
Only 501(c)(3) nonprofit and governmental organizations are eligible to apply and 100% of requested funding from the above noted funds must be invested within the Selinsgrove and surrounding areas. Individuals are not eligible to apply.
Grant applications must be completed and submitted through a web-based program. Prior to beginning the Selinsgrove Area Community Foundation grant application process, first-time applicants are required to attend a grant workshop held at the Northumberland National Bank Operations Center (85 King Street, Northumberland), on Thursday, January 31, 2019, at 10:00am.
