Christopher Stowe joined Community Giving Foundation as Impact Coordinator in 2026 after spending nine years with The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee in Nashville. In his role, Chris works alongside the Impact Team, area nonprofits, and community stakeholders to assess community needs, strengthen relationships with area nonprofits and their leaders, and help guide the Foundation’s work toward areas where it can have the greatest impact.
Chris believes a strong nonprofit sector is essential to building healthy communities and that community foundations play a critical role in supporting the organizations and people that make those communities. Building community has been a common thread throughout his career and personal life—from working as a restaurateur, where he met his wife, to helping organize community events such as the Nashville Film Festival and starting running and cycling clubs in his neighborhood.
Chris moved to Lewisburg with his wife after she accepted a faculty position at Bucknell University, and is excited to serve the community through the Foundation. Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible, particularly hiking, running, and cycling. He also serves on the board of the Merrill Linn Land & Waterways Conservancy and hosts a podcast about staying healthy and fit after 40.
