Marian Eleanor Weikel Scholarship Fund

The Marian Eleanor Weikel Scholarship Fund provides a 4-year scholarship to a Shamokin Area High School graduating senior attending an accredited college or university in the United States. Recipients are selected based on extreme financial need, with special consideration given to a student who has demonstrated leadership qualities and an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher.  Mrs. Weikel was known as energetic, determined, generous, and compassionate. She instilled an incredibly strong work ethic in her two sons, and education was her highest priority for them. As a way to celebrate and honor her legacy, the Weikel family created the Marian Eleanor Weikel Scholarship Fund to provide a 4-year scholarship to a Shamokin Area High School graduating senior.
