The Community Giving Foundation is excited to welcome Christopher Stowe to the Foundation team as impact coordinator, strengthening an ongoing commitment to understanding community needs and connecting local generosity with meaningful, lasting impact.

In his new role, Stowe will work alongside the Foundation’s Impact Team, nonprofit partners, and community stakeholders throughout the region to identify community needs, strengthen relationships, and inform strategic grantmaking. Through community conversations, nonprofit site visits, local needs assessment, and grant outcome evaluations, he will help the Foundation better understand emerging challenges, identify opportunities for collaboration, and direct resources where they can make the greatest difference. Stowe will also support nonprofit leadership and capacity-building initiatives that strengthen the organizations serving residents throughout the region.

“
Understanding our community is at the heart of everything we do. We are excited for Chris to help expand our work as we make more informed decisions about how charitable resources are used to meet local needs.
Kara G. Seesholtz, Foundation president and CEO

Stowe joins the Foundation after spending the past nine years with The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee in Nashville. He believes a strong nonprofit sector is essential to building healthy communities and has seen how community foundations play a critical role in supporting the organizations and people that make those communities thrive.

Building community has been a common thread throughout his career and personal life—from working as a restaurateur to helping organize community events like the Nashville Film Festival and local running and cycling clubs in his neighborhood.

After moving to Lewisburg with his wife, a faculty member at Bucknell University, Stowe looks forward to making connections and growing community impact in the Central Susquehanna region.

“
As we continue to settle into this area and make it our home, I was especially excited by the opportunity to serve the community in this capacity.
Christopher Stowe
