Youth in Philanthropy 2020 Grants Now Available

Please review instructions below, before submitting a grant request.

Each participating school district’s Youth in Philanthropy group seeks to improve their school and community by granting money to nonprofit 501(c)3 and/or government organizations aiming to benefit youth. All grant requests must support services provided to youth residing in the school district’s service area.

Each school group has up to $5,000 to distribute through this competitive process. The funding was provided through a variety of funding sources including donations from established funds at CSCF and individual donors. A complete list of program sponsors by school can be viewed on the YIP website.

The South Chapter of YIP includes Danville, Midd-West, Selinsgrove, Shikellamy and Warrior Run School Districts. They are accepting letters of interest online now through March 6, 2020, at 11:59 pm. Following the letter of interest, some applicants will be selected to participate in short interviews conducted by the students. If selected, students will contact you late-February to schedule an interview. Decisions will be announced via email on March 31, 2020.

The North Chapter of YIP includes Benton, Berwick, Central Columbia, Columbia Montour Vo Tech, Millville and Northwest School Districts. The North Chapter grant applications are currently under review. Final decisions will be announced March 31st.

If an organization wishes to apply to more than one school, a separate letter of interest will need to be submitted for each.
