DACF Announces 2018 Grantround

Danville—The Danville Area Community Foundation announces grant opportunities through a grantround which is now available. Grant decisions will be announced in October.

The Foundation is dedicated to the enrichment of the quality of life for residents of greater Danville Area through superior stewardship of enduring charitable gifts. Charitable organizations that invest in community programs and projects are encouraged to apply. Most grant awards will range from $500 to $2,000. However, if your request for funding is for a significant project, additional funding may be considered and awarded at the discretion of the DACF Board of Directors. Approximately $40,000 is available to grant through the Foundation’s donor-advised funds and unrestricted funds.

Only 501(c)(3) nonprofit and government organizations are eligible to apply and 100% of requested funding must be invested within the greater Danville area. Individuals are not eligible to apply.

Grant applications must be completed and submitted through a web-based program. Prior to beginning the grant application process, applicants are encouraged to watch a short tutorial. Interested applicants can find the tutorial and grant application by visiting www.csgiving.org. Click on the “Receive” tab at the top of the webpage, then select “Apply for a Grant” to view Danville Area Community Foundation information.

Grant requests must be submitted online by 11:59 pm on Tuesday, August 21, 2018.

The Danville Area Community Foundation recently awarded over $97,000 in new scholarships to graduating seniors from 31 scholarship funds. The Foundation is a philanthropic resource that assists community members, businesses and institutions with enhancing the quality of life in their community.
