The Central Susquehanna Community Foundation continues to work with local officials, philanthropic partners and nonprofit organizations throughout the region as information about the prevention and containment of COVID-19 continue to unfold. We have surveyed nonprofits across our region about immediate needs and long-term effects of this pandemic, and we are working with the Foundation Board of Directors to establish the best approach for ensuring our community members in need can access critical resources.

We remain committed to ensuring both a healthy environment and excellent service for our donors, fundholders, and community partners. The Central Susquehanna Community Foundation remains committed to the safety and well-being of our friends and community partners. Like many of you, we have been actively monitoring the public health concerns related to COVID-19 and are taking a proactive approach in an effort to prevent illness and promote a healthy environment.

As a proactive precaution and after the Governor's recent announcement, we have made the decision to postpone or cancel several upcoming Foundation events:

  • Cancelled: March 19th Women's Giving Circle Dinner
  • Cancelled: March 31st Nonprofit Leaders Series
  • Cancelled: April 7th Youth In Philanthropy End-of-Year Ceremony
  • Postponed: April 17th Selinsgrove Area Community Foundation Luncheon (new date TBD)

At the present time, our office will conduct business remotely. The best way to communicate with staff is via email. Contact information for each staff member is listed below.


As always, we will work with local nonprofit organizations that may be adversely impacted by operational shutdowns and event postponements. The Foundation is still evaluating the necessary response to the needs surrounding COVID-19 in our communities.

Several grant rounds and scholarship opportunities are currently open and will continue to follow their previously determined timelines. Through our grant round reviews, the Foundation will be as flexible as we can to continue awarding impactful grants in a timely manner based on current and changing community needs.
